Episode 120: Rory Gilmore

This week, Destiny comes back but Rhea's out for the week, so the former is joined by Matthew Marko, podcaster extraordinaire. Points of interest: How to fix Star Wars, which Disney princess is the best, and Hamilton. So much Hamilton. We also spoil the entirety of Gilmore Girls just for the heck of it! You've been warned.

Direct Download

Corrections: Phil LaMarr played Marvin in Pulp Fiction, and was also on the Sad Sad Conversation

Spoiler Alerts for the Following: Gilmore Girls, Star Trek: The Next Generation ( into season 4), Buffy (up to season 4), and Star Wars (Star Wars Oh no no no, not the Strategic Defense Initiative. We're talking about the Fantasy movie with the monsters.)

Episode 117: I Feel Like I Should Have A Problem With This

This week, Rhea and Destiny welcome comedian, podcaster, and Cool Person Alex Goodier to the show by sitting at her dining room table and talking to her about a range of subjects, from The X-Files to faces on milk cartons! Our wonderful guest is leaving Omaha for the sunny goldmine beach volcanoes of Denver, Colorado, and we'll miss her truly madly deeply. We also record with a dog and two cats in the room, so the audio is sometimes full of inter-species tension as they battle for household supremacy. Pro-tip: Record a podcast with your friend before they move away and you can listen to it when you're sad at night and can't chat with them.

There's talk of Planet of the Apes, Janet Jackson, fortune telling, Steven Universe, and microscopic people living and working in regular-sized people. If you're having a #BLGSummer, let us know how you're doing! This essentially means packing as much fun as possible into these hot hot months.

Episode 106: X-Men Is Her Rushmore

This week, Rhea and Destiny are joined by friend of the show/cartoonist/actress/local improv queen Tracie Mauk! We recorded this on a hotel bed in Kansas City, MO on the 2nd night of Planet Comicon, our bellies full of pizza and trashy vodka drinks. We talk about the good and bad side of cosplay, speculate on why Doctor Who is so dang popular, and the ineffable connection that fans have with fictional worlds and characters, even though consumerism is A Thing.
